COVID-19 PRI Update 27 April 2020

Dear Stakeholder, We hope you, your colleagues and loved ones are doing well. In these challenging times, the entire world is obliged to maintain an uneasy balance between protecting our lives and protecting our livelihoods. There are no easy answers to the COVID-19 pandemic and, at the time of writing, no clear end in sight. We encourage you all to exercise an abundance of caution and not take unnecessary risks. We are highly concerned about all our stakeholders: customers, employees and contractors. This is an uncertain landscape and, like you, we are having to adjust both personally and professionally. We have taken a number of steps to safeguard the welfare of everyone involved with PRI’s programs – communication about these have been and will continue to be sent out regularly. If you haven’t received them, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the PRI team. As we are navigating these difficult times, we reached a milestone this year: PRI is celebrating its 30th anniversary. We are proud to be a trusted partner with you in managing the quality and safety of your internal critical processes and those of your supply base. We truly believe our work together is fundamental to end user safety. And it’s clear this sentiment is shared by the best companies in the aviation, space and defense industries: today, there are over 8,500 Nadcap accreditations in 53 countries/locations. 2020 also sees PRI Registrar celebrate its 25th anniversary. It is now the 3rd largest AS9100 registrar in North America. In response to industry demand, we have also introduced new programs over the years: MedAccred, which provides critical process accreditation for the medical device industry, now has 11 subscribers; Transportation and Power Generation, which helps numerous rail and renewable energy companies; PRI Training, which conducts courses in 8 languages across 38 countries/locations, as well as online; and PRI Qualification, which has published 37 Bodies of Knowledge for the benefit of industry. As we look to the future, we can be optimistic: countries are pulling together in an international safeguarding effort never seen before in our lifetimes; companies are adapting in record time to produce equipment they had not manufactured before; and people are looking out for each other, staying home and protecting their communities in a way we have never needed before. We are resilient and together we will prevail. We wish you well in these dark times and look forward to a better future, together. Kind Regards, The global PRI team
