MedAccred Announces Two New Subscribers to the Program

23 October 2019 Two medical device companies Becton Dickinson and Bayer Healthcare have become the newest subscribers to the MedAccred program, joining Baxter Healthcare, Boston Scientific, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Philips, and Stryker. These subscribers are all leaders in the medical device industry who:
  • manage the program,
  • set strategic direction of the program,
  • determine audit criteria for each critical process area,
  • test, interview, and select subject matter expert auditors,
  • make supplier MedAccred Accreditation decisions
MedAccred is a transformational global critical process supply chain oversight program for the medical device industry. Executives from each of the subscribing companies are very active in the program and are in the process of utilizing the MedAccred Accreditation process as part of their supply chain oversight.  As one of the newest subscribing members, David Vazquez, Director, Quality Engineering & Supplier Quality, Becton Dickinson reported, “BD is excited to have joined the MedAccred program as a Member-Subscriber in 2019 – we are currently actively integrating MedAccred into our business and quality systems and look forward to leveraging the benefits MedAccred provides to reduce patient risk, improve product quality and expand the level of supplier oversight.” In addition, Matt Boyle, Director of Supplier Quality – Radiology Devices, Bayer stated, “Bayer has joined MedAccred with the intent to improve quality and efficiency within our supply chain by leveraging technical expertise across the industry.” Two additional leading medical device companies are joining the growing list of subscribing companies and their names will be announced in the upcoming months.
